The Nifty Notters is the quilting ministry of St. Andrew.
We reach out into our community with donations of baby quilts for the Virginia Garcia Clinic and larger quilts for Lutheran World Relief and Safeplace teen shelter.
In June of every year, the Nifty Notters present homemade quilts specially made for each graduating high school senior. Each new St. Andrew baby also receives a snuggly quilt.
All are welcome to join us. We usually meet twice monthly. Quilters may also work at home cutting fabric into squares or sewing together quilt tops.
The Nifty Notters depend on fabric donations for the quilt tops and backs — cotton and cotton blends are preferred. Look for juvenile or small, colorful prints that can be used for baby quilts. Any print or solid fabric will be used for Lutheran World Relief and Safeplace quilts.
Also appreciated are used flat twin sized sheets in good condition and one and a half yard pieces of flannel make soft backs for baby quilts.
Generous cash donations are used to buy bulk batting.
We’d love for you to join us. If you would like to donate fabric, money, or your time, let the church office know and we’ll be in touch.
