The primary musical ensemble of St. Andrew is the congregation, gathered and joining in song together. Led by organ, piano, guitar, or even without accompaniment, the congregation sings praise and prayer together in worship each week.
The Sanctuary Choir is open to anyone high school age and up. Music reading skills are not required, though some sense of pitch and rhythm are helpful! The Sanctuary Choir rehearses from September through Pentecost and sings at worship nearly every week. Music selections range from chant and Reformation era chorales to new musical settings and global music. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.
Bells of Grace
The handbell choir at St. Andrew is currently on hiatus due to lack of participation. If you are interested in reviving the Bells of Grace and know others who share your interest, please contact Allison Katsufrakis, minister of music.
Instrumentalists and Vocalists
Many musicians in the congregation share their talents in worship during the year. This includes both instrumentalists and singers. If you are interested in sharing your gifts in this way, please contact the minister of music.
Led by John Giddens, The Waters is an ensemble of guitarists, singers, percussionists, keyboard players, other instrumentalists, and singer who lead worship once a month at St. Andrew.
The organ at St. Andrew was built by Paul Fritts and Company of Tacoma, Washington, as Opus 15 in 1993. Click on the heading immediately above to read more about this magnificent instrument.
