We welcome all children at St. Andrew, both during worship services and during the Sunday School hour.
The Children’s Message
Prior to the sermon, the pastors invite the children to come forward to the chancel to hear a children’s message. Parents are welcome to accompany their children, especially if they are reluctant to participate. Children in the care of nursery attendants are also escorted to the sanctuary for this special time.
Children and Communion
Children of any age may receive Holy Communion when the parent deems it appropriate. The ability to reason as an adult is not a prerequisite. It may be helpful for parents to speak with one of the pastors for assistance in preparing their children for this experience.
Books and Quiet Toys
Bins with quiet activities and coloring pages are located at the rear of the sanctuary.
Nursery care is available during Sunday morning worship for infants and children up to the age of five. You will be asked to sign your children into and out of the nursery.
Victoria Wilson Kovalenko is the nursery coordinator. She or another nursery volunteer may be joined by middle or high school youth members in caring for children during worship services.
